Description

Learn more about the attack on Pearl Harbor with a movie of actual historic footage from the attack. Explore museum exhibits and take a boat ride to the memorial built over the sunken USS Arizona. Head over to the USS Bowfin, also known as the Pearl Harbor Avenger. Of the 188 U.S. submarines that saw combat during WWII, the Bowfin sank or damaged over 51 vessels. Stand on the deck of the Battleship Missouri where the Japanese surrendered. A guided tour of the battleship is offered by professional tour guides.

Finish your day at Pearl Harbor as you stroll through the Pacific Aviation Museum and see the historic fighter jets and bombers. See the bullet holes still scarring the outside of the hangers from that fateful December 7th day.

Good to know before you go
  • Pearl Harbor requires all visitors to go through security
  • Official Pearl Harbor security policy prohibits any bag or container that provides concealment, which includes purses
  • It’s best to wear clothing with pockets where your essential items can be stored; if you must bring a bag, a clear plastic bag (like a sandwich bag) is acceptable
  • Please notify the security staff if you need a medical exemption to the no-bag rule
  • Due to ongoing preservation work at Pearl Harbor, access to the USS Arizona Memorial may be limited or unavailable at times. While boat tours to the memorial are operated by the National Park Service and are subject to change without notice, the visitor center and museum exhibits remain open.
  • There is storage available for rent at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, which costs $7-$10 per bag
