Description

Join a half-day adventure tour exploring the Big Island from summit to sea. We start with a scenic drive through historic Downtown Hilo and Liliuokalani Gardens on Banyan Drive — the largest authentic Edo-style ornamental garden outside of Japan — before arriving at the picture-perfect scenery of Rainbow Falls.

Next, we'll take you on a captivating journey through Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, home to the world's most active volcano, Kilauea. Travel from the visitor center to Kīlauea crater for panoramic views of the smoking caldera and steaming volcanic vents, then walk inside ancient Nahuku (Thurston Lava Tube).

Afterward, enjoy an island-infused lunch on us at a local restaurant before making your way to Punaluu Beach Park — a renowned black sand beach where green sea turtles come to rest. Along the way, you'll pass sweeping lava fields and lush coffee and macadamia nut farms, a glimpse into the island's volcanic history and agricultural roots.

Good to know before you go
  • Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a jacket for cooler temperatures at higher elevations. Check weather conditions and dress appropriately
  • Bring a water bottle or flask to stay hydrated and sunscreen for protection against the sun. Be prepared for moderate walking on uneven terrain.
  • If you already possess a valid U.S. National Park pass, please bring it with you on the tour. Mahalo!
