Description

See Maui’s Road to Hana the way it’s meant to be experienced: looking out at waterfalls, jungle valleys, and sea cliffs instead of watching the pavement. Pick the pace that fits your day with two options: a full-day journey all the way to Hana and Waiʻānapanapa, or a shorter Halfway to Hana route that turns back at Pua’a Ka’a.

On the full-day tour, you’ll be picked up at your hotel and drive through Makawao and Haiku, then pass bamboo forest scenery and the Rainbow Eucalyptus. Continue by Honomanu Bay and three waterfalls, then stop at the Ke’anae Peninsula to watch waves hit lava rock and browse the famous banana bread stands. After a break at Pua’a Ka’a State Wayside Park, stop at East Maui Chocolate and arrive in Hana town for a hosted lunch at the food trucks. In the afternoon, visit Waiʻānapanapa State Park for its black-sand beach, then begin the return trip with stops at Honomanu Bay overlook, Kaumahina State Wayside Park, Ho’okipa State Park, and a drive through Paia before hotel drop-off.

On the Halfway to Hana tour, you’ll follow the same rainforest road through Makawao, Haiku, bamboo forest, Rainbow Eucalyptus, and Ke’anae Peninsula, then pass Upper Waikani Falls and Makapipi Falls.
