Description

Step into the world of Claude Monet on a guided walking tour of his legendary estate in Giverny. Your experience begins with an introduction in the charming village of Giverny itself, where your guide will retrace Monet’s life, artistic journey, and deep connection to the village he called home for more than forty years.
Continue to Monet’s estate, where you will discover the two iconic gardens that became the living subjects of his greatest works.
Begin in the Clos Normand, the one-hectare flower garden in front of the house. Here, rose arches frame the central path while dense flowerbeds of poppies, irises, and nasturtiums create the layered palettes of color that defined Monet's Impressionist vision. Learn how Monet designed the garden as he composed his canvases — with the same precision and sense of light.
Cross under the road to reach the Japanese water garden, inspired by ukiyo-e prints Monet collected throughout his life. Standing on the iconic green wooden bridge above the water lily pond, you will understand why this scene occupied him for over twenty years and inspired more than 250 paintings, including the monumental Water Lilies series at the Musée de l'Orangerie.
You will also have access to Monet’s house, preserved as it was during his lifetime (1883–1926). Discover the blue salon, the yellow dining room with its collection of Japanese woodblock prints, and the artist’s studio, offering a glimpse into the daily life of one of history’s most influential painters.
At the end of the experience, you are welcome to remain on site to explore at your own pace, take photographs, or browse the gift shop before departing.
