Description
Begin your day with a pickup from your guide in Paris. Settle into a comfortable van and relax as you travel through the rolling countryside toward the Marne Valley, the heart of artisan Champagne.
Your first stop is Champagne Robert-Allait in Villers-sous-Châtillon, a family-run estate with five generations of winemaking tradition. Explore the cellar, the fermenting room and the aging cellars with your certified guide, and enjoy a tasting of three cuvées, including their signature 100% Pinot Meunier, one of the rarest expressions in all of Champagne.
Next, travel to Hautvillers, the village where the monk Dom Pérignon perfected the art of sparkling wine. Stroll through the charming flower-lined streets, visit the historic abbey, and soak in the atmosphere of the place where Champagne history was born. To complete the experience, enjoy a fourth glass of Champagne at Clos des Arches or Café d'Hautvillers (depending on availability), a relaxed and convivial moment among the vines. Please note that food is not included, but available for purchase on site.
In the afternoon, travel by van to Reims, the historic city of royal coronations. Visit the magnificent Notre-Dame Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, adorned with the stained-glass windows of Marc Chagall, with free time to explore the historic center.
