Description
You will be picked up from the Dublin Port Cruise Terminal in a small group tour van. The tour begins with a lovely little drive through Wicklow county, known as the garden of Ireland. With its rolling hills, babbling brooks, and romantic glens, you can easily understand why this landscape was featured in Hollywood blockbusters P.S. I Love You and Braveheart.
Next stop is Glendalough, known as the valley of two lakes and famed by St Kevin's Monastery which dates back to the 6th century. The monastic site has Ireland's finest round tower, and you can even try and touch your hands around St Kevin's cross, as legend has it you will then be married within a year. On the return from Glendalough to the city, you will pass some of Wicklow's finest mountains. With magnificent lakes and rolling turf hills, this area is every photographer's dream and symbolizes the picture-postcard images that make Ireland unique.
After a lunch or refreshment stop, you will see the sites of Dublin. Highlights include O'Connell Street, the H'Penny bridge, the Temple Bar, Molly Malone statue, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Christchurch Cathedral, Trinity College and of course time to enjoy some shopping on Grafton Street—home to fine traditional luxury stores.
- Each tour is structured to make sure you are back on board your ship in ample time for departure. The service ends back at the dockside after approximately eight hours on tour. If the boat is leaving earlier we will amend the itinerary as necessary
- Children must be accompanied by an adult on the tour
- Infant seats are available on request if advised at the time of booking
- During peak- season (May 1st - September 30th) multiple cruise ships are expected at the major ports on a daily basis. This small group tour tends to sell- out well ahead of departure for most dates within this period. Accordingly, advance reservation is recommended to avoid disappointment
