Description

Discover Ireland's beauty on this small group day trip from Dublin with maximum 25 passengers per premium touring vehicle.

You’ll visit Cliffs of Moher (skip the line entry included), explore the 15th-century Bunratty Castle & Folk Park (entry included), perhaps relax in the adjacent Durty Nelly's Traditional Irish Pub and enjoy time for a delicious local lunch in the tiny village of Liscannor.

Begin your tour with a pickup from one of Dublin’s leading downtown hotels (see calendar for options) and head straight to Bunratty Castle & Folk Park.

Naturally, we’ll stop for restrooms and refreshments approx half way.

Bunratty is a large 15th century townhouse in incredible condition near the town of Ennis in Co. Clare. Experience how the rich and famous lived over 500 years ago! Your €18.00 entry fee is included and the adjoining folk park provides for wonderful strolls at leisure.

Perhaps raise a toast to the Lords & Ladies of Bunratty with a cheeky pint of local beer at Durty Nelly's Traditional Irish Pub just outside the park. You’ll have two hours here overall.

Just over half an hour away is the tiny Atlantic village of Liscannor. Your tour will arrive around 14:15 and stop for lunch. Excellent local options await including seasonal meats, seafood, vegetarian and vegan options and also simple soups and sandwiches for those who prefer a light meal. There’s something for every taste.

This afternoon’s highlight is world famous Cliffs of Moher, Ireland’s most popular natural attraction. We aim for an afternoon arrival around 15:30 which is particularly enjoyable as the crowds have subsided.

Skip the line at the visitor centre and enjoy relaxing coastal walks on the 1km of secure viewing platforms and walled pathways. The telescopes on the viewing platforms offer awesome views over the Cliffs, Galway Bay, Aran Islands offshore and Twelve Pins mountain range in distant Connemara to the north.

For those who prefer to sit and soak in the views, there are wonderful cafes and restaurants with floor to ceiling windows at the visitor centre where you can relax and enjoy a pot of tea or coffee.

You’ll enjoy 90 minutes at leisure. Your tour will depart Cliffs of Moher at 17:00 and aim to arrive back in central Dublin for approx 20:00 - 20:30 with a brief refreshment stop on the way.

The drop off point will be at College Green in the very centre of Dublin just opposite Trinity College. This location is just minutes from many of the very best restaurants and pubs in the city in the Grafton Street and Temple Bar districts. There is also a taxi rank at College Green and public transport options to reach the entire city.

Good to know before you go
  • Pickup takes place from selected locations in Dublin
  • Please contact the local partner if you want to know which location is closest to your accommodation
  • During peak- season (May 1st - September 30th) multiple cruise ships are expected at the major ports on a daily basis. This small group tour tends to sell- out well ahead of departure for most dates within this period. Accordingly, advance reservation is recommended to avoid disappointment
