Description

Join a small-group guided walking tour of Dublin's literary landmarks with an expert local guide. Stroll through Stephen's Green and Merrion Square, and visit the National Library of Ireland. Learn about the lives of Oscar Wilde, William Butler Yeats, and James Joyce.
Meet your guide, a PhD in history and an Irish Arts Council Literature Award winner, in the heart of the historic city centre. Stroll through Stephen's Green, stopping at literary landmarks within the park, and look across to Newman House, formerly University College Dublin, to learn about the Dublin childhood and student days of James Joyce.
Outside the National Library, hear about the life and work of W.B. Yeats, before a self-guided visit to the Yeats exhibition. Stop outside Sweny's pharmacy to learn more about James Joyce and his work, before entering the shop, which features in Ulysses, and is now a unique Joyce visitor attraction.
At Merrion Square, visit the Oscar Wilde memorial sculpture, and hear about his work, his fascinating life story, and tragic fall from grace.
