The project began in 1979 and evolved over the years until its completion in 1996. Today, the park features 22 monumental sculptures inspired by the Tarot’s major arcana, each rich in symbolic and mystical meaning.
These unique creations are covered in mirrors, glass, and colorful ceramics, forming a dazzling explosion of colors. Visitors can walk through, climb, and explore the sculptures from within, making the experience fully immersive. As the artist herself said: “The Tarot Garden is not just my garden. It is also the garden of all those who have helped me to make it… This garden was made with difficulties, love, wild enthusiasm, obsession and most of all faith.”
In accordance with her vision, guided explanations inside the structures are not provided, allowing each visitor to interpret the symbolism in a personal and imaginative way. Often compared to Park Güell in Barcelona, the Tarot Garden stands out for its mystical atmosphere and dreamlike artistic identity.
