Description

In this 2-hour-long walking tour first you will see beautiful statues of the greatest Hungarian kings and princes with the famous Millennium Memorial bearing the magnificent statue of Gabriel Archangel which won the grand prize at the 1900 World Exhibition in Paris.

You can also admire the Museum of Fine Arts which is one of Europe’s most prominent museums with an unequalled collection of masterpieces of international and Hungarian art and the Hall of Art which is a representative exhibition institution for contemporary art.

I will show you the most famous Hungarian restaurant, Gundel Restaurant and the Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden which is among the oldest zoos in the world.

We will discover Budapest’s ’lung’, the City Park with one of Europe’s biggest thermal baths, the unique Vajdahunyad Castle and the City Park Rowing Lake which turns into Budapest’s most popular ice rink at wintertime.

I will also show you two stunning buildings inside City Park: the House of Music Hungary and the Museum of Etnography both of which have won numerous architectural awards.

All of this among a beautiful park decorated with lovely statues, bright green lawns and centuries-old trees!

At the end of the tour I will entertain you with a Hungarian folk music performance by singing you some beautiful Hungarian folk songs and by showing you some traditional Hungarian folk dance steps.
