Description

Get picked up directly from your hotel in Budapest and spend a day at the nearby capital of Slovakia, Bratislava. Take this opportunity to visit 2 countries in just one day and let your local driver show you around.

Your English-speaking personal driver/guide will provide his knowledge of the city throughout the day and help you discover the hidden gems of the city.

During your day trip to Bratislava, have a lot of things to see and do. Walk the Historic center and explore the wide range of historical buildings. Continue to the Bratislava Castle. The medieval hilltop castle is the perfect location to get an amazing view of Slovakia's capital.

From there, start a lovely walk to the old town to see pastel-painted houses and medieval squares of Bratislava. Stop to take a peek inside St Martins Cathedral, renowned for its exquisite stained-glass windows; marvel at the modern National Theatre, and pose for photos with the ‘Cumil’ statue, then climb St Michal’s Tower for another great view over the Old Town.

The Catholic church is located in the eastern part of the Old Town and is well known because of its blue color, which makes is really unique.

Visit the Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum, one of the most romantic modern art museums in Europe. It is about 20 km south of Bratislava. Founded in 2000 by the Dutch collector Gerard Meulensteen the museum has arranged a lot of exhibitions of leading figures of the Slovak, European and world art scene.

The Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum, which is surrounded by the River Danube, provides guests not only extraordinary artworks but due to its impressive location, it also features a fantastic view of the flora and fauna of the peninsula.

Visit Devin Castle, just a 10 minutes car-drive from Bratislava's old town. The geographical position of the castle offers its visitors magnificent panorama views over the Danube and Morava rivers.

You can also visit the Michael's Gate, one of the oldest buildings in Bratislava and a good location for taking pictures of the city, the Bratislava forest park, the national museum of history or the Slavin war memorial. All aspects of the trip can be customized to your needs. At the end of your experience, your personal driver will take you back to your accommodation in Budapest.
