Description
We'll leave New York for Boston at 5:50 AM. We'll pass through the state of Connecticut, where we'll stop for breakfast, and then continue on to Massachusetts.
We'll start our city tour with a stop at Copley Square, where we'll find the Church of the Holy Trinity, the John Hancock Tower, the Old South Church, the first public library in the United States, and the Boston Marathon Finish Line. The guide will give an explanation and allow you free time to walk, take pictures, and use the restroom.
Then we'll continue along Massachusetts Avenue, passing by the Church of Christ the Scientist, the city's Symphony Hall, and the prestigious Berklee College of Music until we reach the Back Bay neighborhood, where we'll take a walk to enjoy its red stone architecture and Paris-like Victorian style.
We'll cross the Charles River to visit Cambridge, a university city where MIT and Harvard University are located. We'll stop for a walk around the Harvard campus to soak up the university atmosphere.
We'll return to Boston to visit and walk through the neighborhood with its charming narrow, cobblestone streets in the Federal style, lit by gas lanterns that give it a touch of distinction and elegance.
In this neighborhood, we'll find one of the first cemeteries in the country, where some of the men who signed the Declaration of Independence, the Massachusetts State House, and the Freedom Trail are buried.
We'll pass the site of the Boston Massacre, one of the triggers of the Revolutionary War.
We'll arrive at Quincy Market, which was the first major project after Boston became a city in 1822 and was named in honor of the mayor at that time. We'll have 1 hour of free time for lunch and to buy souvenirs.
- Please wear comfortable clothing according to the season or time of year.
- Please ask before traveling if it is possible to bring a baby stroller.
