Description
The afternoon starts in Boston's North End neighborhood, aka "Little Italy", with a cannoli and a coffee/tea and stories about the early immigrants that led to Boston's heritage today. Visit the Old North church, famous for Paul Revere's lanterns!
Free time for lunch to either grab a cup of chowdah and cool off with a tall pint at the oldest restaurant in America or have lunch at a local farm-to-table market with 20+ different vendors.
After lunch, follow the Freedom Trail through Boston's historic center while learning about the city's part in the American Revolution. See famous sights such as Faneuil Hall, Old Corner Book Store, Old Granary Burial Ground, Old State House, King's Chapel, and more!
Proceed to stroll through the picturesque Beacon Hill, Boston's most prestigious historical neighborhood. Take a picture on Acorn Street, widely believed to be "North America's most photographed street"! Finish the tour exploring Boston Common and the Public Garden, while listening to tales about the colorful characters making up the city's past. Hear the lesser known stories behind Boston's beloved Make Way for Ducklings statue! Learn about the tumultuous story behind the first surgery performed with anesthesia!
End the day at Copley Square, home to some of Boston's most spectacular architecture! Where no expense was spared during Boston's "Gilded Age" to build famous cultural, religious, and educational marvels! See Copley Library, Trinity Church, Old South Church, and more!
