Description

Barcelona doesn't give up its best food quietly. You have to find it down a side street, through a low doorway, or at a bar that's been there so long the regulars don't bother with menus.

On this small group tour, we trace the culinary soul of the city through three of its most storied neighborhoods: the Gothic Quarter, El Born, and Barceloneta. Five stops, six tastings, three drinks, each one chosen for its character, its history, and its flavour. You'll drink wine the way Catalans do, eat street food that predates the tourist trade by centuries, and finish with a waterfront dish that the fishermen's quarter has been claiming as its own for generations.

Along the way, expect a medieval church built by bare hands, a street named for its dyers and tanners, a war memorial that explains why the Catalans wear red, and much more! Groups stay small - 12 guests at most.

Good to know before you go
  • Wear flat shoes - it is, after all, a walking tour, so be comfortable.
  • Bring a bottle of water - we do have drinks stops throughout the tour, walking can be thirsty work.
  • Come hungry. You'll be tasting lots of food!
  • The tastings mentioned are a selection of the delicious foods we often feature. Both offerings and tour stops may vary by day or season!
  • Have dietary requirements? Email us or add a note at booking, and we'll do our best to accommodate vegetarians, gluten-free guests or other dietary needs where we can. For guest safety, this experience isn't suitable for those with severe or life-threatening food allergies to ingredients found on the tour, and the company cannot take responsibility for any food allergies or intolerances.
  • This activity requires a minimum of 2 guests. Should this not be met, we will contact you directly to help you get rescheduled or reimbursed.
