Next, visit the Columbus Monument and La Rambla. Learn why the statue points in the direction it does, why it is located here, and what the 1888 Universal Exposition celebrated. Discover the Arabic origins of the word "Rambla" and how the street separated the walled city from the convents.

Next, visit Sant Miquel and learn about the human towers (castellers) and what they symbolize. Continue to the Bishop's Bridge and hear the famous skull legend.

Visit Sant Felip Neri, one of the most emotionally powerful places in Barcelona. Hear about the Spanish Civil War, the Italian bombing of 1938, and the children who died. See the shrapnel marks and take a moment of silence.
