Experience the festive charm of Barcelona on a Christmas walking tour that begins in the historic Plaça de Sant Jaume, where your guide will be waiting in front of Starbucks with a distinctive green umbrella. From here, you’ll step into the beautifully illuminated heart of the Old Town, exploring narrow, car-free streets and pedestrian lanes that reveal a side of Barcelona inaccessible to vehicles.

As you wander through glowing alleys and centuries-old squares, your guide will share the stories, symbols, and Catalan traditions that define the holiday season — from the beloved Tió de Nadal to local customs and festive legends. The relaxed pace and cozy atmosphere make this walk ideal for enjoying the city’s lights, discovering hidden corners, and absorbing the warmth of Barcelona at Christmas.

Between November 28 and December 23, the route naturally passes through the city’s main Christmas market, adding even more seasonal spirit to the experience.

This tour is offered in two durations, allowing guests to choose the rhythm that best suits their plans.
Both versions explore the illuminated Old Town, with the shorter (1.5hours) route ending in the Gothic Quarter, where your guide will share personalized recommendations for restaurants, local spots and things to do next.
The extended version (2hours) continues a bit further into the elegant Eixample district, concluding at Casa Batlló, where you can admire the avenue’s festive lights and the building’s seasonal illumination.
