Description

Cross 3 international borders in a single day on this full-day adventure from Barcelona. Step foot in Spain, France, and Andorra, stopping in medieval villages, an extraordinary mountain food store, and one of the highest paved roads in Europe along the way.
Make an early start from Barcelona and soon arrive in the medieval Catalan village of Bagà, surrounded by the rocky peaks of the Cadí-Moixeró National Park. Explore Bagà's central square and medieval church, then continue north through the Tunnel del Cadí and cross the border into France.
Your first stop in France is unlike any other supermarket you've visited: the Carrefour de Ur, a mountain institution with a bear at the entrance, ski gondolas hanging from the ceiling, and shelves stacked with the finest French wines, cheeses, and pâtés. Your guide will point you to the best of it — you'll have 20-25 minutes to browse and stock up.
From there, a short drive brings you to La Tour de Querol, a quiet French border village with deep historical roots in Catalunya Nord — the part of Catalonia that became France centuries ago. Your guide brings the story of this divided region to life.
Rather than taking the tunnel, you'll then take the high mountain road over the Port d'Envalira, at 2,408 metres the highest paved pass in the Pyrenees and a legendary Tour de France climb. The views from the top are unforgettable, and the descent into Andorra reveals one of Europe's best-kept secrets.
Stop at border control for that all-important passport stamp, then head into the Andorran capital, Andorra la Vella, where you'll have a full two hours of free time — enough to browse the tax-free shops for bargain-priced wine and souvenirs, grab lunch at a local restaurant, or simply take in the mountain scenery.
And here's what makes this tour genuinely unique: you don't just visit Andorra, you drive straight across it — entering from France and exiting into Spain, crossing all 468 square kilometres of the country border to border in one afternoon.
On the return drive back to Barcelona, sit back and enjoy the changing Pyrenean scenery before arriving in the city in time for pre-dinner drinks, tapas, or whatever else your evening holds.
