Description

Discover pottery in Barcelona with a relaxed 2-hour hand-building workshop, suitable for complete beginners and anyone who wants to enjoy a creative experience with clay.

With guidance from an English- and Spanish-speaking instructor, you’ll learn the basic hand-building techniques used to shape clay by hand and create your own unique ceramic piece — or even more than one, depending on your design and pace.

We’ll start with a short introduction to the clay and techniques before giving you plenty of time to experiment, create, and make the piece your own. You’ll work with high-temperature ceramic clay and have access to different decorative materials and finishes to add character to your creation.

All materials and the first kiln firing are included. After the workshop, we’ll take care of firing your creations. As ceramics require drying and kiln-firing time, your finished pieces will be ready for collection a few days after the activity. If you’re visiting Barcelona, shipping can also be arranged for an additional fee.

Ceramics is a handmade process, so every piece is completely unique and small variations are part of its character. In the rare event that a piece is damaged during firing, we’ll provide a gift card so you can enjoy another WAKU experience.

For those who want to take their creations even further, an optional painting and glazing session can also be booked separately.
