Description

Immerse yourself in the world of Long Meadow Cider with a guided tour led by a member of the McKeever family. From the moment you arrive, you are welcomed into a third-generation family farm, where the story of the land, the orchards, and the people behind the produce is shared. Learn how the farm began, how it has evolved over generations, and how family values remain at the heart of everything produced today.

The tour begins in the vinegar production area, where you’ll discover how the McKeever family craft their award-winning apple cider vinegar. Learn about the traditional methods used, the natural fermentation process, and the health benefits associated with raw, unfiltered vinegar. Guests are invited to sample the vinegar and gain a deeper understanding of its role in both wellbeing and modern food culture.

From here, you’ll move into the cold storage facilities, where apples harvested in autumn are carefully stored on site for up to eleven months of the year. This state-of-the-art facility allows the family to maintain quality, freshness, and full traceability. You’ll see the fruit in storage while learning why cold storage is essential to year-round production.

The journey continues into the production area, where all Long Meadow products are now made entirely on site. Here, you’ll gain insight into the pressing, fermenting, and bottling processes that transform orchard fruit into premium ciders and juices.

Stepping outdoors, enjoy a guided walk through the orchards. See the very first trees planted by the family alongside newer plantations that reflect how the farm has diversified over time. Learn about the different apple varieties grown, and how each season brings something unique to the farm — from spring blossom to autumn harvest.

The tour concludes in the warmth of the Bramley Barn, nestled in the heart of the orchard panoramic views. Here, you’ll enjoy guided tastings of the full range of ciders and apple juices, accompanied by a slice of homemade apple pie made from the farm’s own apples, with tea or coffee — a true taste of Long Meadow, from tree to table.
