Description

Imagine experiencing the history of the world's most powerful nation in a single day — with everything arranged, an expert Spanish-speaking guide, and lunch included.

We leave early from Manhattan heading south. We'll cross New Jersey and Delaware — where we'll stop for breakfast — and Maryland until we reach Virginia, where we'll skirt the imposing Pentagon, the world's most famous center of intelligence and military power.

Our first stop is Arlington National Cemetery, where we visit the gravesites of President John F. Kennedy and his family, Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara, and jurist Michael Musmanno. Real history, told by an expert guide.

We continue past the Iwo Jima Memorial to the heart of Washington — the National Mall. We visit the Vietnam Memorial, the Three Soldiers Monument, the Lincoln Memorial — the site of the historic "I Have a Dream" speech — and the Korean War Memorial.

We'll tour the Federal Reserve, the Washington Obelisk, the reflecting pool immortalized in Forrest Gump, the World War II Memorial, the OAS and the International Red Cross.

Outside the White House, we'll tell you the story of Conchita — the Spanish woman who lived for decades protesting in front of it — a story that no other sightseeing tour tells.

We'll visit Ford's Theater, the FBI headquarters, and the south exterior of the National Capitol.

Lunch is included: American buffet with drinks — coffee and soda. The food is served by weight with a selection included in the price.

On the way back, conditions permitting, we'll stop in Weehawken, New Jersey — one of the best vantage points for the Manhattan skyline at sunset. The perfect end to a historic day.

Professional bilingual tour guide. Air-conditioned transportation. Drop-off at Times Square between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
