Description

There’s nothing better than spending a sunny summer day riding through the postcard-perfect countryside of Holland. Just a short ferry ride from the city center, we’ll cycle through the peaceful northern edge of Amsterdam into the Waterlands — where the scenery quickly shifts to cows, canals, classic Dutch farms, and yes, the sweet smell of chocolate in the air.

Along the way, we’ll enjoy plenty of photo-worthy stops as we cruise toward one of the Netherlands’ most iconic destinations: Zaanse Schans, a Dutch heritage site famous for its working windmills, wooden houses, and charming local culture. Once there, you’ll have free time to grab lunch, explore at your own pace, visit a traditional cheese farm, and even check out a clog-making workshop (yes, real wooden shoes!).

On our return route, we’ll pedal through Zaandam, home to the surreal and Insta-famous Inntel Hotel, built from nearly 70 traditional Zaanse-style façades. As we make our way back into the city, we’ll pass the creative hub of NDSM Werf, an artsy, post-industrial district that's perfect for a final photo op.

This tour covers approximately 40km, but don’t worry — the Netherlands is wonderfully flat, and we use electric bikes to make the ride easy and enjoyable for most fitness levels. While you don’t need to be an athlete, a general level of physical activity and ability to ride a bike is recommended.

Best of all? We spend most of our time outside the city, so you can mostly skip the stress of biking through central Amsterdam and enjoy the ride.
