Description

Begin your small-group day trip from Amsterdam with early arrival at Keukenhof Gardens, the world-famous spring park known as the “Garden of Europe.” Join your friendly tulip tour guide for a highlights walking tour and learn fascinating facts about Dutch tulips, flower cultivation, and the Netherlands’ horticultural heritage.

Stroll among millions of blooming tulips, daffodils and hyacinths arranged in spectacular themed floral displays. Enjoy breathtaking photo opportunities throughout the gardens.

In the afternoon, travel through the Dutch countryside to visit authentic seasonal tulip fields near Keukenhof (weather permitting) - perfect for capturing iconic photos of endless rows of vibrant spring flowers. You will also stop for photos at historic Keukenhof Castle, a beautiful 17th-century estate surrounded by landscaped gardens.

Afterwards, head to Delft to explore the well-preserved Gothic architecture of one of the most picturesque towns in South Holland. During your guided walking tour, discover historic canals, cobblestone streets and landmarks including Market Square for cheese tasting, Vermeer Centrum, Old Church, New Church and City Hall.

Delft is world-renowned for its iconic Delft Blue pottery. Visit the shop of Royal Delft to view its famous collection (museum visit optional). You will also join a pre-booked workshop at a registered Delft Blue pottery factory, where the owner provides a personal demonstration of this traditional Dutch handcraft (entrance included).

After an orientation at Delft’s historic Market Square — where markets have been held since the 12th century - enjoy free time to explore museums, boutiques, cafés, and local attractions at your own pace.

On the way back to Amsterdam, stop at our exclusive hidden-gem windmill site, called “Mini Kinderdijk” by our team - a peaceful, crowd-free alternative to Zaanse Schans and Kinderdijk, perfect for ending your Dutch countryside experience.
