Description

A unique itinerary to experience the top three sightseeing attractions near Amsterdam in one single day. Visit 'Lego City' Zaandam for an Instagram photo stop at the 'Lego Hotel' in the city centre.

Explore Zaanse Schans, an open-air museum and Dutch national heritage. Enjoy a demonstration with cheese tasting at a cheese farm to get to know everything about Dutch cheese. Try on traditional wooden shoes at the clog museum & workshop with a demonstration for clog making.

Transfer to the fairy-tale village Giethoorn with a 1.5 hours drive, pass by the largest artificial province in the world Flevoland reclaimed from the former Zuiderzee. Drive through the famous and largest man-made lake 'IJsselmeer', which is created by the construction of the 'Afsluitdijk' Enclosing Dike, a dam that closed off the Zuiderzee from the North Sea in 1932.

The highlight of the tour is a small electric boat ride in the 'Venice of the Netherlands' Giethoorn. The adventure begins with a cruise tour through the charming canals and arch wooden bridges, and admire the centuries-old yet well-preserved thatched-roof houses built on small peat islands.

During the boat trip, your personal guide tells the history and interesting stories about the historic village getting to know everything about Giethoorn. After the boat trip, you get free time for a scenic walk strolling along the narrow paved paths. In the evening, arrive back in Amsterdam with the rest of your night to look forward to.
