Step aboard an open boat and experience Amsterdam Light Festival Edition 15 from the water during a 90-minute cruise. Admire 20 light artworks with unobstructed views while your skipper-guide shares engaging stories in English and Dutch.

Choose the ticket option that suits you. Select Cruise Only if you prefer to purchase drinks at the bar on our pier before boarding, or choose Cruise with Drinks to enjoy beer, wine and soft drinks included throughout the cruise. Whichever option you select, the route, duration and live-guided experience are the same.

For its fifteenth edition, Amsterdam once again becomes a spectacular stage for light art. Local, national and international artists share their own perspectives on the city. Without a single fixed theme, the artworks create a fascinating dialogue with Amsterdam through a multitude of ideas and viewpoints.

Follow the festival's brand-new route through Amsterdam's central-eastern district and discover 20 unique light artworks near landmarks such as the Magere Brug and the Amstelsluizen. From the open boat, you can experience the artworks, canals and city lights up close, without glass windows between you and the surroundings.

Your skipper is also your live guide, bringing the festival to life as the artworks appear along the route. Hear engaging stories about the installations, artists and ideas behind them, with plenty of room for personal interaction and questions. Live guiding is available in English and Dutch, creating a relaxed and personal experience that goes beyond prerecorded commentary.

Good to know before you go

Dock is located at Stadhouderskade 501 opposite the Hard Rock Cafe. Take tram 2 or 12 stop at Leidseplein. from there the dock is a 2 minute walk.
You can cancel your cruise until 24 hours prior to departure. Cancellation within 24 hours is not possible.
