Description
Join a reflective small-group walking tour through central Amsterdam and discover Anne Frank’s story in the wider context of the city’s Jewish history and the Nazi occupation. As you walk along canals and through historic streets, your guide will connect locations in the city to Anne’s life, her diary, and the experiences of those persecuted during World War II.
You will explore areas linked to the former Jewish community and see important landmarks and memorials that recall the impact of antisemitic laws, deportations, and resistance. Along the way, your guide will share stories of everyday choices under occupation, from people who risked their lives to help others to those who remained silent.
In this small group, there is space to ask questions and take in the history at a thoughtful pace. The tour is designed to be informative and respectful, offering clear explanations even if you have little prior knowledge of the period.
The walk finishes outside the Anne Frank House, where Anne and her family hid during the war. This tour does not include entry to the Anne Frank House. Tickets must be purchased directly via the official Anne Frank House website, and we strongly recommend booking several weeks in advance, ideally for a time slot 2 hours after your tour departure.
- The meeting point is at Beursplein 5, next to the bronze statue of a bull. The tour concludes at the Anne Frank House
- If you wish to visit the Anne Frank House, you can do so on your own at the end of the tour. Entry tickets must be purchased directly through the official website, and we strongly recommend booking several weeks in advance
