Description

Amsterdam is a city best understood from two angles: street level and water level. This tour gives you both.
You'll start on foot, grazing your way through one of the city's most characterful neighbourhoods - sitting down in a café that dates back to 1642, tasting Dutch cheese at different stages of age and depth, and meeting the fishmonger who still does things the old way.

Along the route, the city's layered history comes alive: the workers who built these narrow streets in the 17th century, the immigrant kitchens that have quietly become some of the best eating in town, and the courtyards that most visitors walk straight past.

Then comes the water. A one-hour cruise aboard a vintage boat trades cobblestones for canals, and the city opens up in a completely different way. The architecture, the bridges, the stories behind the grand facades lining the Herengracht - it's a perspective Amsterdam doesn't give up easily.

Twelve tastings, one cruise, and a small group that keeps it all intimate.
