Description
Travel by ferry and bike, bus, or drive to Watergang from Amsterdam. Meet your guide at the blue house in the village, where you will have a short introduction before you canoeing.
Canoe for 2 hours through the village and meadows. Learn about the Dutch waterways and water management as you canoe.
Halfway the tour you get, the guide will offer you a drink.
After the canoe trip, you can relax in the guide’s garden, where you can have a picnic or snacks (not included in the tour price).
The village is very small and don't have any shop or café. Bring your own is not a problem.
Good to know before you go
- This activity is subject to weather conditions and may be canceled if there are strong winds or rain.
- Please bring your own food and water as there is no shop in the village.
- You can canoe in a 2 or 3 person canoe.
- It is advised that you bring extra clothes in case your clothes get wet while canoeing.
- Your belongings can be left at the house while you canoe.
- Cameras and phones will be kept in special boxes while canoeing.
- The starting spot is the village of Watergang. You can reach it by bus (#301/307) from Amsterdam Metrostation Noord. You can pay with your credit card on the bus (check-in and out).
- The village doesn't have any shops or cafes, so bring your own drinks and food if you'd like to relax in the village.
- If you go by car, park the car at the Populierweg or Kanaaldijk. The village street is too small to park your car.
- If you go by bike, allow a minimum of 40 minutes from the north part of the ferry (north of Amsterdam Central Station)
